1. 1. Charges applicable to any accommodation are as follows:
    a. Rental – tariff as quoted which includes all linen, services and out cleans.
    b. Key Collection – R200.00 (once off fee)
    c. Breakage Deposit – R2000.00 (refundable should all be in order on departure).

    2. Bookings will only be confirmed on receipt of a 50% deposit of the rental plus all other charges.

    3. Balance of rental is due 7 days before arrival. Should payment not be honoured for any reason whatsoever, keys shall not be given or left out! You will also be liable for such legal costs by an attorney and own client scale, including any tracing agent fees and shall bear interest at the rate of 25% (twenty five percent) per annum from date of such dishonourment.

    4. Deposits are fully refundable should proof of Covid be submitted. A doctor’s note stating that you or anyone in your group have been in direct contact with Covid 2 weeks or less prior to your arrival, will also receive the full deposit or you can book for a later date.

    5. Should refunds to a swift bank account be required, an additional charge of R450.00 will be levied.

    6. The fees for cash payments into the Marichel 4 account shall be deducted from the refundable breakage deposit.

    7. Should any items be left at Marichel 4 and need to be posted, the cost of postage, packaging and a service fee of R150.00 will be charged.

    8. Marichel 4 reserves the right to substitute similar accommodation should the apartment not be available due to unnatural or unforeseen disasters such as flooding, fire etc…..

    9. The maximum number of persons occupying the apartment must not exceed the number of beds. Should we find that more people are being accommodated than allowed, please be advised that we have the right to ask you to leave, forfeiting your rental.

    10. Should any electrical appliances go faulty during your stay, we will endeavour to have them repaired or replaced as soon as possible. However, no reduction in rent will be allowed for delays beyond our control.

    11. Pets are not allowed under any circumstances.

    12. A breakage deposit is taken prior to booking, however, if the damage exceeds the breakage deposit amount, you will be liable for the additional costs.

    13. Tenants may take occupation from 14h00 onwards and the apartment is to be vacated by 10h00 on the date of departure. These times are stipulated in order to facilitate the necessary cleaning services. Please note that during Peak Season, we ask our tenants to please be patient with regards to any delays.

    14. Guests attend Marichel 4 at their own risk. The Proprietor shall not be liable for, and the guest/s hereby waive/s and abandon/s any claims of whatever nature including, but not limited to that for theft, injury, loss or damage of whatever nature, against the Proprietor, whether arising from the Proprietor’s default, negligence or otherwise thereby indemnifying the Proprietor against any claims.

    15. On departure, please close windows and bring in any cushions that may be subjected to bad weather conditions. Alarm systems must be activated on departure.

    16. Please keep the TV on when leaving Marichel 4. This is requested due to humidity.

    17. A cleaning service is provided on a daily, weekly or monthly basis with the exception of Public holidays and Sundays. An arrangement can be made with the Proprietor for the apartment to be serviced during a Public Holiday and or Sunday at an additional fee.

    18. The service includes the making of beds, cleaning of bathrooms, dishes, patios, floors, braai, emptying of rubbish bins and dusting. Staff hours are from 9am – 1pm. Please make prior arrangements with the Proprietor should you wish them do your personal washing and or ironing. This can be arranged at an additional cost.

    19. No sub-letting is allowed.

    20. Moving of Furniture is prohibited.

    21. Marichel 4 is not to be used as a venue for any functions unless otherwise agreed upon.

    22. Kindly note that we do not accommodate students. Should parents book on their behalf, they will be evicted upon arrival without refund.

    23. Please wear a face mask when walking around the Marichel complex.

    24. That all guests entering Marichel 4 are Covid free and that they have not come into contact with anyone who is Covid positive within a two week period prior to their arrival at Marichel 4.

    25. To avoid any further costs, please ensure that keys are left at the Shell Service Station in the same envelope that the keys came in from Family Getaways.
